The Village Restaurant has been around forever, and the current owners and staff are just lovely people. Where else can you get an $8 grilled cheese with a side of soup, salad, or fries? A $13 cheeseburger with a side? Liver and onions?! Their soups are always top notch, and the coffee bottomless. A true gem in the heart of Sechelt for a taste of days gone by.

Friend and I were up on Sunshine Coast for the weekend and we were craving a diner-style breakfast. Had a mushroom and cheese omelette with extra crispy hashbrowns, sourdough toast and a side of extra crispy bacon. The omelette was really cheesy and the bacon was perfect. Food was very solid overall. The service was VERY friendly and welcoming!

Perfect typical small town diner. Food was great. Service slightly slow ( but it was packed... which is a good sign :) but everything was just the perfect feel for our mood and was this place is like. We loved it!

I originally wanted to try two other places but they were both packed. So fortunately, I ended up here. Loved the Village Special and everything about this place! The pancakes were soft and super flavourful and the rest of the meal was tasty and quite fresh. Such a lively and upbeat diner with affordable prices, where everyone seemed to know everyone else. What a friendly atmosphere!

Great diner food. Went here for lunch recently. We ordered a BLT sandwich, deluxe cheeseburger, and the chicken strips and fries. The staff were courteous and ensured we had what we needed to enjoy the meal. The cheese I. The burger could have been better however it is easily within what one would expect from diner food. Would recommend and will go back again in the future.

I love this place. It's very basic but the value is great. Service very friendly, & unless they're slammed, fast. Heavy on breakfasts, Honestly, I'd give it a five because I like going there regularly, it's just a basic greasy spoon though, super friendly, tends to be older folks and families, kind of a locals spot. But if you want a good big brekkie that won't break the bank & very nice people on staff, go. Also some sweet outdoor booths that are wonderful in warmer months.

Quick friendly service. Not a lot of diversity on the breakfast menu, the classics are there and well executed. Good prices & quick service.

Breakfast was ok. Service was average nothing bad to say about that but I wouldn’t call it extraordinary. The place was not super busy at 11am on a Saturday. Price was affordable. Hash browns were very undercooked and very few of them. Eggs were perfectly over easy as ordered and pancakes were delicious. The French fries and chicken club sandwich were delicious. We sat outside and besides a bit of traffic noise we had a very pleasant brunch. Parking close by was a bit of an issue in this area at this time. I would recommend this place for an economical place to stop for a quick bite. The washroom was tidy and clean.
